Been looking at made in Japan guitars for the past few days and have seen alot of positive comments from respected MLPer's (diceman etc.) on MIJ epiphones.
So after seeing this on ishibashi u-box i thought i'd post it as i havent got the money at the moment.
I think its a lacquer series by the headstock and the model name (LP CUSTOM LQ/EB) which have a kind of nitro finish and are regarded as some of the best epiphones.
Long Tenon, headstock angle is 17*, ABR-1 bridge, historic pup rings, USA pups and bone nut(from bottom thread) not sureif it's an all mahogony body, I think the board is rosewood but may be ebony.
its 56,952 yen which is around 700 dollars (£450)and i think shipping is 140 dollars by EMS which is 3-5 days to the USA (about £100 to the UK).
Not sure about customs in the US I think its about 20% UK  .
Well here it is anyway:
Ishibashi Music Store Used Musical InstU-BOX u have to search "LP CUSTOM LQ/EB" sorry there's no direct link.

even if noone buys it, it's just nice to look at :)

i think this is basically the same guitar and it sold for $950 without shipping.

They are great guitars and that is a good price on one.

I played 4 shows from the 14th to `17th, to a total of 4-5K people and my MIJs were all that were on stage my Gibsons were at home in their cases.

thanks for the confirmation, you were one of the respected MLPer's i was referring to.
Thats good to hear, you seem to be one of the big MIJ enthusiasts on the forum.
I've read alot of your posts recently looking at MIJ guitars and have decided the next les paul style guitar i buy will be a MIJ not sure which brand yet though maybe ObG if I can afford one although if one of these are available i'd jump on it , the only bad part is customs in the UK is pretty bad, compared to Australia where they dont pay on anything under $1000.

Customs here is hit or miss, sometimes they charge others not, I feel for you in the UK getting hammered on everything with a Tax.

Look into Edwards as well, some of the best things going right now even though they are not entirely MIJ.

onioner- if you get a chance to play one the differences are instantly apparent from the MIK and MIC production.

Ye it is rubbish really but just have to add it into the budget.
Ye it seems for a new MIJ, Edwards seem the best option build quality and seymour duncans already installed. The whole build location point is pretty confusing; it seems to be started in China and finished in Japan but the
reviews seem great and thats the main thing really.

Neither have I lol. Black customs are definitely nice looking this ones binding is nicely aged, also ive never seen those gold speed knobs on a custom; must have been the previous owners preferance, i think i'd go with black reflectors.
