That was a great night. The Direct Tv went out so we did all kind of fun shit on the WII. My daughter kicked my ass in boxing not long after that. Now that was embarrassing.

I'm considering get different pickups for my PRS ce standard. I've tried Gibson classic plus - sounded bla - I just put in PRS RP modern eagle pickup - different but nothing great. What Mhd pickup would you recommend for this type of guitar. There's no maple top so it doesn't have that fender snap and its doesn't have the Les Paul fullness.
Play in drop tuning most the time.

I put the 86/87 set in my LP and I'm really impressed. Nice clarity and definition, especially the neck pup. It's the best sounding, most useful neck pup I've ever played. No mud! :applause:

My strat became my number one since I put the your singles set in it if that tells you anything.... Its awesome! :naughty:

Ha! I had the similar effect when I first put Rayne's Straightjacket (I think it's called now...) in my cheap Washburn fat-strat, over the Gibson LP Studio. It became my No.1 guitar for a long time, right about the time that I upgraded the LP with pickups of the same caliber. But the Gibson pickups simply could not touch the MHD.

Never had a strat or anything that didnt have bucker type pups in it.. Came across a good deal on an American Standard all singles and wasnt too impressed. It looked good and felt good but no soul.. Hooked up with Rayne (begged and pleaded), he finally gave in and wound me a set for her.. Felt like Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstien "ITS ALIVE"!!
A very controllable monster she is now....

I've had a couple of weeks with my 5150 set and all I can say is, it kicks major a$$!

Unbelievably good pickups. Thick, rich, powerful. Just killer.
