Hi all,
Think I'm going to get around to upgrading the 36 year old pots on my Greco - they're a bit sticky. I'd always thought I'd just enlarge the holes and use imperial CTS pots but I've found out now that CTS make metric pots (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTS-Gui...-Split-Shaft-Audio-Potentiometer/322171019295). Before pulling the trigger, I noticed I can pick up some Gotoh branded metric pots (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gotoh-S...596350?hash=item3b141e3c7e:g:ht8AAOSwuxFY3OHr) for about $15 cheaper / set. I realise there'll be minimal tonal difference and this is more about quality but has anyone had experiences with the Gotoh pots before? How do they compare to modern day CTS?
I assume the Gotoh pots are simply rebadged (potentially Alpha?), but all the Gotoh products I've used on my guitars have been fantastic and I've found their SD90 Klusons to be infinitely better than the real deal. I'll be using audio-taper for the tone and linear for the volume.
Cheers
