Who's playing the solo :hmm: ya might want to erase that and start over. Take a deep breath listen to the backup and try to play something that fits in, at least timing wise.

I can certainly say that it sounds like a lot of fun! I heard some very solid rhythm work, and I didn't think the lead line was bad. It could use some improvement, but it shows definite potential! Don't listen to the negativity, just keep playing. Keep wood-shedding and churning these out, both of you! I look forward to the next one.

And, yeah, I'd love to get in on a little of the jam fun if there's room for one more. :thumb:

I don't think the harsh comments regarding the solo are needed. There were parts that were too out of context. However, some the "out of time" licks were executed very well and gave a sort of Pagey feel to the solo.

There are some cool licks in there! Definitely some tuning or intonation issues going on - but those can be fixed. Any teen who is putting his heart and soul in to the blues has my support - 100%!!

Keep at it! Your fundamentals are very good.

Shame on the guys who felt in necessary to trash on this young dude!

Relax there OD.

Not much for "constructive" criticism either - and definitely no encouragement.

More towards the lone "Tune Up" comment with nothing positive or constructive to say...

That what I gave was constructive criticism. would you rather I was dishonest and said good work keep at it. That would only spur him on to continue playing the same.

I am sure if he did another take or 2 or 100 he could do better.

Thanks to all for your input.

Clay and I are just two people removed by two generations and about 1,000 miles with a common interest in playin' the blues.

We're excited that we can connect via de interwebz, throw some tracks around, figure out the technology and each other's style, and share our enthusiasm (which we hope is contagious):naughty:.

We know exactly how our first collaborative effort sounds. And we welcome criticism, else we would not have put it "out there". We're not looking to impress anyone or beg compliments. We're just sharing our enthusiasm regards the technology, love of the genre, and optimism that disparate generations can, indeed, work together.

No point tearing anything up and starting over - it's already on de interwebz. And we had a blast making it.

dang my ps3 doesn't play the file
The .ogg file format is non-proprietary - that's why Wiki supports it and not .mp3, .wav, etc., which involve Microsoft conglomerate licensing issues.

You might (and should, I would hope) be able to find .ogg codecs for your PS3.
