Whatever works, works; regardless of the badge on it :thumb:

right on, man
but still , a mesa 4x12 cab would be awesome ..

yesterday i found my indicator bulb was dead
i couldn't find any bulb that has the same voltage , and they dont have bayonet fitting

glad that another forum informed me to use car kit bulb..
it seems like for an interior lamp or something
and it works perfect :dude: (the original mesa is 6v, the car bulb is 12v though)

I got a Mesa LSS 4x10 combo with casters for 1000 used on sale ! I love the thing but its pretty damn loud for 30 watts I can't really play it at home so I use it as my gigging amp, I use my Traynor YGL2 at home which is also 30 watts but has a nice lower volume tone.

anyone heard about the studio series 22w ? apparently the studio 22 ancester. mine is from 1985 with white tolex. just a good tube sound and a beautifull object. can someone give me some info about it ? i think the clean sound is marvelous and the dirt ugly. probably it has been made for studios as the name says. i'm looking for information about it. not a lot around.

my single rect is acting strange right now. the volume level is keep on changing every now and then

i have replaced the power tubes just like two month ago in specialized tube amp shop, with a pair of JJ 6l6GC . but not yet with the preamp's tubes

is it because the preamp's tube? the thing is, i am gigging on sunday, so i have to make it quick while i wont spend my money for nothing

How old are those preamp tubes? If you've at least 1 spare or you could get your hands on a working 12AX7, I'd say try replacing V1?

Unfortunately I don't know man. I bought the amp used on january. One thing for sure, the power tubes that I replaced were already bad said the tech

Yeah I'm on my way on local shop now. My best bet is the preamp tubes

yeah i thought i had to retube all the preamps, but apparently only 2 preamp tubes had to be swapped a dead tube and a near dead tube :D (the V1 and the V2 refers to the user manual)

the issue has been fixed

a little late to the party, but thanks BigAl for sharing!

in the mid eighties my first real am was a Studio .22
loved that little bugger to death. but at some point
I wanted a little more punch, came across a good deal
for a Soldano SL 60, and away went the Boogie.

now, a couple amps later (including 3 1987x, a twin,
an SLO 100, an Allen Old Flame and some more),
just last week I picked up a Mark IV.

this is one amazing amp! I do understand some people have
problems with the second channel, but so far I've been able
to get some pretty good Zeppelin tones from that one.
The cleans in channel 1 are great and the lead channel is killer!
Very versatile in a very tiny box.

I still want to check out the Mark V but it's hard for me to imagine
that it could be any better. For now I'm very happy!
