I wandered in to a local music store today to check out the stock of Gibson Les Paul Standards. I noticed that there was a price discrepency between two Standards that were in the store. When I inquired, the salesman said that the the price was wrong and that he would take another $300 off due to a small blemish on the headstock. The blemish is so small, I hardly noticed it. I put the guitar on lay-away and I am pretty sure I will pick it up tomorrow. I have been procrastinating on a LP Standard for a while.
May be my lucky day!

No reason to lie! I just bought the guitar this morning. Unfortunately I wont be able to post pictures for a couple of weeks as it is staying at the store for set-up and they are behind. I'll post picks when I bring it home. I've waited years to own a Gibson LP. It's a Honeyburst Standard. Ended up paying $2399 CAN (which is about $2270US). Can't wait to get it home...

My brother saved about $40 on a Fender Hot Rod Deville because it had an old price tag on it. The salesperson said, "That's not the current price." My brother said, "Well, this price tag shouldn't have been on it then. I'll take it at THIS price." He got it at THAT price.

My local GC always has a ton of stuff priced wrong, and they have always honored the lower price tag when I've called em on it, although not always right away. Sometimes I have to go into the old "That's false advertising man!" routine lol.
