Out of interest, Is the truss rod cover supposed to be that far from the nut? I'e never seen one that far before..

Yep. Slash probably put prices through the roof. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Slash only had the Max for a year or two, and AFD and everything else was done on a Derrig.

Yeah, like others said, MAX wasn't as well known before Slash, and Slash didn't buy the guitar.

As for the nut thing, it does seem a little far, but I think I've seen gibbys like that, but I could be mistaken
