Enjoy it while it happens. At some point, the builders will be gone, and folks will wish they were still around.

Yeah, at some point everything will be made in china:rofl::rofl:

Guitar builders will be putting in applications at McDonalds to survive.............

Wait.............I might make more money!:rofl::rofl:

Ah brother I build industrial engines, everything now is made in China, India or elsewhere. Very few parts we use anymore are made here.........And we pay more money for the shit metal they produce. Weve all been sold out......I'll see ya at McDonalds. Hell I'm sure they import the meat tho. :rofl:

Guitar builders who make their own style guitars may struggle. I know three superb luthiers who make excellent 'burst replica's, one of which has a waiting list with orders for the next few years. He makes very good money believe you me and will not be found serving up Big Macs.

Doesnt appear so:io:

I do have a sense of humour - I mean I laughed out loud when I read here that a guy who is famous for fake 'bursts and Korina guitars is compared to Leonardo da Vinci, and even more that he's hoping someone will swap original vintage Gibson guitars for his old belt sander and the like?

'i'm really interested in trades for vintage gibsons .. especially TV juniors, TV specials and SG LP's .. they're dropping pretty fast, why not dump a couple on me ..'

Who's he trying to kid?

Vintage TV Junior......or old belt sander???????..........durrr????????

I'm with you, I think he's out of his ever loving mind, but he is my friend and if he can pull it off, more power to him. :rofl:

Interesting thread........too bad the banned poster "No More" had to drop his negative energy into what was a very nice tribute to builder who is a part of Rock history.

If Max sold the company he could get more than just selling his equipment. If Max doesn't mind someone else using his name for a company he could make enough money to buy quite a few of those guitars. CBS bought Fender, Norlin bought Gibson etc.

My father owned a money losing variety store and he got an offer for $50,000.00 Too bad he got evicted before the deal went through.

Cool! It would be kudos to Gibson if they could put out a limited run of dead accurate 59-60's.......:fingersx:
Maybe they would "get" what all the fuss is about and filter it in to their production line......
