My R9 is in photo 1 and 9-0597 is in photo 2.

My 2018 R8 Royal Teaburst has such oddball grain (in a good way, ha!) that finding a really good match to a real Burst is, well... difficult. But I do have to say that 8 5495 (aka "Molly" or the "Seven Decades Burst") is the closest I've found in terms of the oddball grain principle. Color is pretty close too, I think (8 5495 may be just a tad redder, but it's tough to say because pics pull more red out of Teabursts than exist in person--I have to intentionally try to take pics that don't "over-red" my R8). Anyway, I am claiming 8 5495!

9 0901 from BOTB (Pgs 70-71).

While not as perfect a match as some others here in this thread, it's closest I could find in terms of color and flame.

I found another Burst, 9 1152, with very similar grain pattern to my R8... note the same roundish grain pattern on the bass side of the body and the same distinctive "ZZ" grain lines flowing from the tailpiece. 9 1152's color is a bit more faded than mine (but the pattern of fading is very similar). My R8 has faded some in the last 4 years though (this is a pic of it when it was brand new) so someday it'll likely be a dead ringer for 9 1152 color-wise. 9 1152, however, is not in BOTB... but still, it is a real 1959 LP, so I figured what the heck.
