I can finally at least carry a cup of coffee. That's fabulous. No coffee no food yesterday. Finally tied the garbage to the dog's harness and pointed her toward the can. She's man's best friend. I'm not make'n the bed today but I'll clean up my kitchen for sure. That should only take about 3 hours with necessary breaks. Man this is tits. I can get up and actually walk around.
I still can feel pressure in that lower lumbar region and feel like I am walking with a back brace on.
Stuff as a board as Wanda would be the first to say ..Bless her heart.

Back pain sucks, sorry man. If this is a reoccurring issue then I suggest you get yourself a decent little TENS unit. Works wonders for me.

Back pain does suck. I could hardly do anything for weeks at a time over each of my compressed discs.

I think I need to see a doctor again. When I am standing for more than 20 minutes in roughly the same place I'm getting this huge numb area at the top of my back. I don't mean some tingling, the whole area around and below my shoulder blades goes completely numb. I have a feeling one of those old disc injuries is the cause.

If you can move, KEEP MOVING. "Bedrest" is the absolute worst thing for you, unless it is the only thing you can do. Do not screw with opioids, they're worse than pain. Alcohol is an old treatment for pain but it does take the edge off if you have the maturity to reach cruising altitude at stay there without going too high. Unfortunately, you shouldn't take tylenol or motrin with alcohol, so don't. I won't even mention mixing alcohol with ANY kind of sedative; you don't want to look like this when the pain stops.
Good luck.

400mg ibuprofen plus 1000mg acetaminophen should take the edge off. No more than three times per day and not for long periods, because the ibu is tough on the innards.

have had neck problems for many years.i just got into the VA program and mentioned it to my doctor, who sent me for x rays and physical therapy.3 visits into the therapy,my neck is starting to improve, less pain, more mobility.the therapist has me doing exercises twice a week for an hour.i was skeptical, didnt think it was going to work, but it does seem to be helping.maybe you should look into this?
