Luthier recommendation for LP build

Hello,

I am looking to have a 59 LP style guitar built using old growth wood. Doesn't need to be an exact replica, i.e. don't care what's on headstock. Can you recommend someone to me? Or if you're a luthier please email me if you have the time to build one.

A simple LP style is around $700 without electronics and hardware.

I just quoted him by email for a les paul with binding on body and neck, nitro honeyburst finish my name on the headstock, all hardware and electronics and carved top (just a standard les paul) and he said it would be 800-900 shipped to australia, so i think thats pretty good!

Yes, yes it is. Not exactly a "Luthier build" but its your specs!

Roman Rist. I've got 2 guitars built by the man - they are phenomenal. I don't have a LP from Roman - but he's made some beauties.

I'm not knocking the quality of NSCS builds, and the price is GREAT....
but do the carves and shapes look slightly "off" to anyone else?
On one of their goldtops with P90s on the site, the tone and volume knobs were aligned at an odd angle...

Some look off, some don't

I also noticed their Burst replicas don't have long tenon necks. Wonder if they'd do that...seems like a great price though.

I'm pretty sure they do. If not, they'll give you one. Hence, CUSTOM shop.
