feels thinner to me when compared to my epi custom pro, but
that may just be me.. ? i never looked at the specific specs on
each of them to see.

I'm not sure *I* would consider them "fat" (I like R7/8 style necks) but no doubt the Epi Trad Pros I have played at my local GC have a more rounded neck with a bit more depth than the plus tops/customs/tributes (which are flat on the back like my 2014 Gibson Classic). Its not a significant difference, but it's enough for my needs.

I've been wanting to pick up one of those Trad Pros for a couple years now between the satin back and the neck shape. Then overhaul the electronics and bridge/tp.:thumb:

Yeah, to me it feels larger than my old Tribute + and my Florentine. Probably about the same as my Epi G400 SG. I played 3 of them and they all felt the same.

ER... I see you have an LPJ. I have one as well, and I would say the necks on the LPJ and Epi Trad Pros that I played felt about the same.

BTW, I really liked the goldtop version. It is not the sparkle version that other Epi goldtops have.

Just got my Heritage Cherry Sunburst Traditional Pro from Guitar Center. Its serial number is 15021512473, so looks like they are selling the 2015's as well! Can't wait to plug it up when I get home and listen to it but from the looks of it, it will be a great guitar!

nope, looks the same :) i just cant buy into the cherry burst.
epi or gibson, or any other.

in any case, if you love it thats all that matters, and if it plays as
good as my desert burst, you'll be super happy with it.

Nice one Neil! I went to my local GC and all they had was cherry burst, wine red and black. I asked the rep if they had any more and he said all of the colors except for dessert burst were on their way. I don't know why any desert bursts weren't coming but I do know they are the only flame top offered.

So got some bad news. The Heritage Cherry Sunburst has a problem. I was finally able to plug it up last night and I noticed when I have the switch on the neck pickup and all knobs turned to 10 the guitar is very loud (it is perfect actually) but the second I switch to bridge pickup you can't hear it until you turn the AMP volume from 1 (for using the neck pickup) to like 5 or 6 (for using the bridge pickup).

I know you can adjust the pickup height, etc but this seems like a huge difference in volume like there might be something else going on. Any ideas?

Uggg. Not a PU height issue. Could be a bad pot or a faulty connection. You could try turning the bridge volume knob a dozen time to maybe knock of any oxidation that may have built up, and try jiggling the wires in the control cavity while the guitar is plugged into the amp see if you can locate the exact source of the issue.

If that doesn't work and you really like the guitar otherwise, you may consider finding a Epiphone/Gibson repair center close by. They will fix it at no cost under warranty. This is a better option than return/replace because you may get unlucky again and get a guitar with other issues.

Good Luck.

Well Guitar Center had to order another one so this time I decided to change my mind and order a Desert Sunburst! Hopefully it will be as good as some of the ones others have been receiving!

Could also be the switch. Had the exact same problem with my '56GT. After switching thru the positions 5 or 6 times it's fine again. But if I don't play it regularly I have to do that routine again. I figure it's oxidation.
