Even the Les Paul Model looks like a decal instead of being silk screened.

It’s real. This thread will go a couple pages, but I’ll put my stamp on it right now.

Also, what does “non pattern” mean?
do you think that it is real Gibson? I meant I never have seen before silk screened.

I will send more pics.

LOL. Who fakes a Studio? Seriously though. Looks perfectly normal.

i believe the script is correct but more pics of the entire guitars are needed....

could be a bad refinish with correct logos but a bad job of applying them

i bought two waterslide decals with that exact script and my 1983 studio script matches

ebony board....i think your good

can you read anything on the white stickers on the pick ups?

cavity handwriting as opposed to a stamp is interesting...dunno bout that but

and why did they cut the metal plate for the tone knob? replaced im guessing and pot shaft was too short? :dunno:

i would have to vote :yesway:

The control cavity for sure looks like a Gibson. At first I wondered if it was a MIJ guitar with water slide decals due to the headstock not being done with a pin router (which is what all the Chinese ones were done with).

None of the studios are silkscreened. They're all a gold decal buried in clear for both logo and script.......just like the standards and classics - and every other non accurate historic headstock with a Les Paul script. This has been going on since either the late 60's or early 70's so its not a new phenomenon.

This one perhaps had a little dust or similar before the decal was applied.....or the decal was not fully dry before clear coats were subsequently put on.....so it is not fully bonded to the base clear - hence the extent of the decal is visible.
There was a dead identical thread on the strat-talk forum in the last week for the fender decal being visible.
