LP junior weight range.

What is the range of weight from a 58 to 60 Les Paul junior, also what about the 1986 reissues.... and the Vos

I have tried to research this, but cannot find alot of information on junior's but the 58 to 60 sunbursts seem to come up in the searches.

I have played a few that were just over 6 lbs. I was just curious if some were heavier.

newer ones tend to weigh a little more then older , but i doubt you will ever find one over 7.5 lbs.

You should try posting this question in the Vintage Les Paul forum.

For what it's worth, I used to own a 2007 Junior (USA model, not Custom Shop) that weighed just under 9 lbs.

I've seen a few heavy ones myself. I am always looking at them. I saw one on Reverb (maybe?) the other day that was a vintage one. '59 double cut, if I remember correctly. It weight over 9 lbs. I was kinda surprised. Only reason I (kinda) remember it was the weight.

well ok then, they can be heavier, ive owned 2 a 57 & a 2010 both were under 8 lbs.

Here's a list of guitars (mostly Les Pauls) with weight and neck measurements. There are a handful of Juniors including 1950's vintage, Historic Reissue, and a 1986 Gibson USA model.

Note that one 1957 Junior I had was featherlight at 6.76 lbs, and another '57 weighed 8.72 lbs

I took delivery of a 86 Junior today and it weighs 8.5 pounds and has a Lollar P-90 in it.

Just for fun, I thought I'd weigh my Gibson Juniors:

2019 Orig. Coll'n. Junior = 6 lbs., 13.6 oz. (6.85 lbs.) <--- Fatty neck
2007 Junior.................... = 7 lbs., 6.3 oz. (7.39 lbs.)<--- Skinny neck

My other juniors were 6.5 to 7.5 pounds.

I got a 2019 Junior that comes in little over 7lbs
Bout a pound lighter then my 94 studio
