Where's the best place to read the history on LP's. Stuff like, when they started making them, stopped making them, and started making them again.. What years are best, what years to avoid etc.. I'm a Strat convert and know a TON about Strats, would like the same level of knowledge on LP's.

Surprised no one has mentioned "Beauty of the Burst" by Yasuhiko Iwandade. Required reading with great photos for any guitar lover, especially vintage Gibson Les Pauls!

The 2 volume LP legacy set should be required reading before anyone is allowed to post on the forum IMO.
