first off, thats sweet looking guitar!

I can say that I paid more for my used Faded Cherry B7 than the average black custom was going for.

Yeah I liked the look to, anyway I don't think it sold very fast .If I'm correct its from 11. That's good cause it probably have a ebony and not a richlite fingerboard. But it also tells something about how easy it is to sell if you want to move on.
So what do you think a seconhand one will go for?

i paid less than half of that for my used B7. That price is crazy no matter the color.

I think it looks cool. But its not going to be for everybody. I think when most people
picture a custom in their head, they think black with gold hardware. you asked about
its second hand value, and that is going to be the problem if you ever want to flip it.
Most people will want black and the market for TV Silver will be very small and I personally think you would take a big hit on it.

i would agree. it's been sitting at MF for 3 years. The demand isn't enough to justify the price.

MLP buyers fwiw usually go for ebony, alpine white or pelham blue it seems. The original silverbursts also seem to do well.
<----------- I <3 my ebony B7

oh, i must have missed that part. oops.

I paid less than have half of MF's price for a 2007 B7 back in August.

I've seen the asking prices on Customs shoot through the roof lately- especially the 68 RIs. But they tend to sit on eBay or in the classifieds for months.

How much is the guy asking? I'd start at $2200-2400 depending on condition. If the dude is asking $4000, I'd pass altogether because he probably isn't going to drop the price to a realistic level.

Always consider resale value. Few of us keep guitars forever.

That Silver Custom is sharp. I'm not a big solid or custom color guy, but the silver and the binding/Custom appointments etc. just POP.

Do people actually pay that for off the shelf new guitars? Haha, used rocks.

A UK Gibson dealer has a TV Gold '57 LP Custom for sale...i wanted to buy it from them a couple of years ago but they would not sell it at the time because it was a Gibson prize for being the best dealer in the UK...but it has been for sale now for about a year and it still just sits there. :)
