Loved the Orange Dual Terror, what else should I be looking at?

So my Epi T+ is on order and should be here the first week of May :laugh2: I have been on the hunt for a good at home amp to use with it. I won a 1x12 Custom cab from Olde Crow Cabinets | Custom Built Guitar Cabinets and Cases | About about 2 years ago, but have never been able to use it as I have no head for it. My local shop just got some Orange stuff in for the first time ever and I demo'd a Dual Terror on a 1x12 Orange cab and my Olde Crow cab, sounded great on both. With that being said I don't want to just jump on the first thing I see or try and was wondering what else you guys would suggest I look it. I have no issues doing all the research and stuff myself, but I don't really know the names of all the manufactures that would fall into my category. I tend to play more dirty gain driven stuff, but having the ability to go clean is a plus for sure. Thank you!

Are you looking for high gain or mid-gain sounds? I have a Dark Terror, and I love it, but the Jet City JCA22H with the BFG Sunset Strip / Demon mod is KILLER. It's become my number one amp since I got it.

Different sounds though. But for about $625 straight from Brian at BFG, it's a great deal for what you get.

I also kept my stock JCA22H, and it's a killer amp as well. However, Jet City's are more of a bright amp than the Orange, which is darker sounding.

If you've got a few minutes, check out this vide form the guys at Andertons - they play all of the Terror series amps through the same rig(except the Jim Root) and it's pretty eye opening. I really like the Dual terror in this video:

Jet City JCA22H is a good choice. I personally have a Dual Terror myself, and I like it very much as well. If you need an effects loop or a dedicated "clean" channel, look at the Thunderverb 30 instead of the Dual Terror - similar price point. The Thunderverb also has a more tunable EQ section as opposed to the Terror's simple high-end cut tone pot.

A price range would help.

But, given the above, and assuming good tone at home/apt levels? here are some of the usual suspects

Blackstar HT series
Marshall DSL
EVH 5150 III
Egnater Rebel
Egnater Tweaker
Mesa Boogie (a few models)
Jet City
H&K Tubemeister
Peavey Valve King (the new one)
Orange TH30

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Much appreciated! @jimmer_5 I watch a lot of the Andertons videos actually. I think they do a great job. I believe you guys provided me more than enough of a list to keep me busy researching for a while. I didn't really have a super set price in mind, but maybe $1000CDN at it's peak. I think it will be mid summer before I can pull the trigger, but we will see what happens. Thx again!

The Mesa Mini Rectifier is cool too. I had the Orange DT prior to buying the Mesa. I liked the Mesa a little better, but I am a Mesa guy.

Also a very good choice, the Mesa is very flexible. The clean channel can do crunch, and the lead channel can be made to do clean.

No idea why, but I wrote off Peavey in my original search and I finally took a look at the New Valve Kind 20, and I am very impressed. It would appear that it is a great bang for the $$ witha great set of features. I am suprised it doesn't get more love. Am I missing anything? It's about $200 less that a Tiny Terror in Canada and appears like it can be way more versatile. I wanted something that would be easy to record with and it would appear the Peavey has it all. I am still waiting on my Epi T+, but pretty sure I am going to pull the trigger on one!
