Yesterday @ 6:45 PM I lost my good friend George due to complications from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, but due also to complications from severe COPD, surgery could not be performed as he was to weak to survive surgery.
He proudly served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970 in the Army infantry and asked nothing from his country that he loved and remained a proud vet to the end.
This was a three battle that ended yesterday, I was honored to be at his side in his home in Tulare Calif. with his wife as he took his last breath. Although not biologically related they referred to my wife and I as their kids as they never had children.
He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Rest in Piece my good friend 1944 to 2012
Please Honor ALL war vets, all gave some, some gave all.
