It takes a lot of love to be so kind.

A lesson learned along the way....

" It can only hurt this much, when God has given you so much "

Take care.

Hack, i'm so sorry Gordon was clearly a bright light in this world, well loved, and loving. What you're doing is selfless and painful, but at least he'll no longer be in pain.

Rest Easy Gordon.

I had to put a pet down...

It's pretty much the sh*ttiest feeling.

I'm sorry you guys have to do this.

HACK.

You told me not to open you thread, but I did so inadvertently. I'm glad I did...

I have no words to reduce any pain it sadness you most certainly are feeling right now. Just keep him in your heart and mind, and always remember him fondly.

i have 3 bostons right now.

2 are resuces.
i had to put 2 down previously.

my one female (luna) had an eye removed and had everything possible go wrong with her.

i just put my soul dog down in september.
ozzy was 16 1/2 years old and i loved him more than anything.
i've NEVER cried over the loss of a friend, relative, nothing.

with ozzy, i sobbed like never before, and never will again.
at 47 years old, i found out what it was like to sob uncontrollably.

it does suck dude, and i am so sorry for your loss, expecially that you have to plan for it.
i held everyone of my dogs at the time. it brought some comfort, and i spoke to them as it happened.
he looks happy. he had a great life, and he obviousy loves you.
cry over it, tell everyone who is interested how much you miss him, and if you get another, you will know when the time is right, as they will find you.

when you are ready, if you want, i have some rescue info if you go that route.

again,
deepest condolances.

Hack, you have my deepest condolences.

I've never had a dog of my own, but I know what you mean. It about killed me when my father-in-law had to have the family's 17yo black lab put down. What hurt the most was, that my wife told me that I was the ONLY non-family member, that she actually liked. I at least got to know her for a couple of years, but she is severly missed.:(

I'm really sorry, bro. Don't know what to say. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. My animals all mean the world to me, and my heart goes out to you.

You're a good man, Hack.

The love evident in your pictures, between dog and man, is evident, and touching.

My condolences on your loss.

It's sad to hear this. Celebrate the good (and bad) times spent together. I bet is was all good.

A family's dog is never just a dog. RIP Gordy.

Ok, I'm back!!!

Hack, that has to be a very lucky dog. A lot of people would have put him down as soon as he had his health issues. You got the little ****er fixed up as best as possible and gave him the best life possible.

Love is obviously blind....You're a good man.

Would do the same for any family member.

I wish nobody had to though.

I've done it for a Boxer ('Clem') and a German Shepherd ('Zeus'), Hack.
I feel your pain but support your action.

Very sorry. Advise against the chocolate. You don't want to cause him any discomfort.

Having gone through this twice Hack, my heart is broken for your loss. You have many MLP'ers here that share your sorrow. I will be thinking of you and your pupper today instead of myself.
