Hello all,
I am very new to this forum(first post). I hope this post is in the correct section as it said replicas are fine to post without "head shots." I'm looking to have a '59 type kit built. I know this has been posted a lot, but I would greatly appreciate any help or info to where I can look or if there are any builders looking to do the job, I have the funds to get started. I'm looking to spend around 1500-$2500. Again I appreciate the help on this one.
Thanks

I'm no help but it's always helpful to state your location when asking these types of things. :thumb:

Okay, well I'm in West Virginia, but I would pay shipping if need be. Thanks for the heads up.

Yea, but I'm looking for more of a historically accurate build. Brw,light mahogany, hot hide glue..etc., but those are very nice for the money.
Thanks

I don't think your budget will buy what you're looking for :hmm:

Not for a finished kit, maybe for a blank one... if "replica grade" than you will be more in the 2500$ ballpark...

I'm just looking for a blank kit to finish myself. I know finished they are way more.

a lot of the "accurate" kit manufacturers have had to change their offerings lately to avoid certain patent infringements. You may have better luck by going to the luthier section and see if someone over there can make you something.
But your going to be stretched on price, BRW and old growth Honduran aren't cheap.

Your bet is to go and look in the main section and click on Luthier's Corner. That is the correct section for guitar build and repairs. There are examples there of complete builds with kits and with raw wood starts. This section is more for other brand LP's rather than kits.

I do believe your price range is ok if you do all the work yourself, hardware is of course totally subjective.

Good luck.
