If that scratch isn't into the wood it's an easy fix. If it is into the wood it still ain't that bad. Definitely fixable.

This. And in any event, a Traditional for $1300 is a great price. You can fix it or leave it.

I'd leave it personally. My 93 Standard has worse gouges in it, and certainly a lot more.

It's nitrocellulose. You can make a mark like that with your strap or a cord.

From the photo, that nut looks like it's cut too deep. Make sure to look at that when you see it up close and personal.
