Long or short pot for EPI Les paul

Hi all

I am planning to change my Pot with Gibson 500k Ohm. Could you guys let me know what should be the pot. Is it long or short pot for EPI LP? Will it make any difference to my tone?? I have already changed my pickups with Gibson classic in Neck and Classic plus in Bridge. Will Appreciate your input on this.
