i like the class 5 but, but im not sure 5 watts is enough for me, i wish i could fine a 10-15 watt combo with almost identical features, including the quiet practice feature. does anyone know of an amp that comes close to this description. thanks :)

Not sure what the quiet practice feature is you meantion, but I own a Carvin V16.

A great little all-tube American made amp, at a great price. With reverb too.

I recommend it.

Jimmy, remember what I had suggested to you the first time you posted a thread looking for an amp? Well, I still recommend that same thing.

I didn't see that thread and am sorta curious about the same thing. What did you recommend? PM me if it must be kept a secret. :)

Marshall 1974x or any of the 18 watt clones will do that.

Phaez could make something similar too.

Good call - a 1974x would nail that sound. I kind of want to build a 2061...I could use it for guitar and bass!

He tried the 18 watt I think and didn't like it.

It's not a secret. A dual single ended EL84 amp could be built by Phaez for the exact tone you want, without a master, or one that switches out of the circuit. The way his masters work, if you crank it all the way, it's out pf the circuit. A dual single ended EL84 amp would be around 10 or 12 watts I think.
