I am currently using my ESP/LTD EC-400 at church,so I carry it a lot. Currently using an Ibanez POWERPAD gig bag that is great, but I worry about damage, and the bag is showing some wear. The backpack straps work well for me, and I am wondering if anyone has used any of the "lightweight" cases (hard bag). I think the best price ones are GFS (Guitar Fetish) and Gator GL-LPS Lightweight LP Style Guitar Case .

Been lurking around reading MLP for a long time, so it's time for me to join in.

Keep on pickin".

I've had the Gator and I have to say it really fits nice around the guitar.

Also take a look at the $50 Glarry cases on ebay (and the Glarry website). It's a really light hard case and it has dual necks rests and a comfy handle. I bought one to see how it is. It's not what I would call heavy duty but I do like how the guitars fit and the neck support.

Wow, thanks guys. The type I was interested most in was the foam shell ripstop nylon covered superlight versions. I would really like to maintain the backpack straps or similar method for carrying it. I might just have to find someone local that has the Gator GL-LPS.

The Gator is a nice case! I had one for 15 years with one of my guitars.

Here's an SKB, over $100, but I think we can trust the SKB name.
