Lightest non-chambered Les Paul?

I just got a 1993 Orville by Gibson LPS-57C (the "reissue" model), and I had to check the cavities to make sure the wood was all there because bizarrely it's only 7.6 lbs! That wasn't really making sense to me for a non-chambered guitar, so I wanted to ask here what the lightest solid body LP's are that people have had or seen.

All reissue models most of the time use lightweight mahogany but I haven't seen any full bodied or weight relieved LP weighting less than 8 pounds.

Look up Wildwood Featherweights.

There was also a 2003 Brazilian R0 posted here years ago with a claimed weight below 7 lbs.
Thanks for the tip! Those Wildwoods seem pretty cool. The ones I found still seemed to be very slightly heavier, but close.

Man, I'm loving this guitar. Ordered from Japan where it was listed as "under 4kg" but I thought it was an exaggeration, and when the box arrived I thought they shipped it in just a gig bag and no hard case.

I wonder if my new 2008 50th Anniversary Korina is chambered? It's listed at 7.6 lbs. Granted Korina is a different wood than a typical Les Paul.

From my own experience, my 2013 Trad is 8.4 lbs without any weight relief.

I have a 2019 RO that's 7.6 and a 2021 R9 that's 7.14oz

They are unicorns though.

How did you go finding those?

And, not that you can see weight in photos, but any thread can always use photos ;)

Luthiers can chime in here but my understanding of wood is
that one piece can have a greater density than a same size
of wood. It's the density of the wood that can matter.

I have two Studios that are, weight wise, number 2 and 3 out of
6 Les Pauls. The Standard is the 6th heaviest. Density.

Limba, or Korina, is a very light timber.
But a lot of 2008 LPs were chambered, too.
My 2008 Classic Antique is chambered, and weighs 7lb 7oz.

Just too much time looking on the net.

The R9 came from MGL. Mark was a pleasure to deal with. This is it. Looks totally different indoors.

Jesus, that's stupid pretty.

For photos here's me checking to make sure all the wood was still there under the pickups. And it is, long tenon and all.

Got this one for $800. Probably the best deal I've ever nabbed.
