Early '69 Serial # 541xxx (likely February)
One Piece body and neck with long neck tenon.
Center-seam maple top with 1/16" maple "crossband" under layer.
Dotted "i" on headstock logo
1950's style control cavity routing
!FAT! neck (.098 at 1st fret/1.055 at 12th fret)
Patent sticker pickups
Trying to get an accurate scale to record weight--stay tuned.

What type of pick up is the middle one, is it different to the neck or bridge?

it's way to sick-looking! welcome to the forum!!:thumb::wave:
Thank you! A Les Paul is a guitar I've always loved but never owned. It took a bit of saving but now she's mine and what a nice one. It's from the original owner through Archtop.com. I highly recommend those guys btw. You can tell they're real players who love guitars and aren't schlocky about pricing or sales.

Weight update! She's on the dense side. 10.5-10.6lbs. Whoa! I used a very precise professional medical scale at the hospital where I work. BTW, you have to use a REAL scale to get an accurate measure. Those made in China digital bathroom scales are laughably inaccurate. They will routinely give you a measure that's up to 3 lbs off. On the scale at work I stepped on, recorded my own weight and then stepped on holding my baby (10.5lbs difference). Then I placed the guitar on the scale by itself and I got 10.6 I was satisfied with the accuracy to within 0.1 lbs.

What is the difference in size of the customs headstock from 50s to say 70? which is the same as a 69 I think. The shape is the same anyway. The size seems very close????
