It came topwrapped so i left it like that.... This is my only topwrapped guitar for now. Just got it a week ago

Nice Darrell,.... be careful where you wear that sweater my friend, unfortunately, and disgustingly imo, our Flag is not welcome everywhere.

On a more positive not, yes, I can see the darker blue edge on your guitar,.... gorgeous!! Did you buy that to gig with instead of bringing out your 82 CAR? I know quite a few LP owners prefer NOT to bring their Vintage LPs to gigs!

I wear it anyway... I'm too old and too stubborn and too proud of it to change. I'm a big guy, and its a big sweater, so basically , a walking billboard!

I have found that the studio just works better live. It cuts through better. It sounds a bit brighter and woolier when driven than the 82. It's also lighter.

The 82 is a very majestic full bodied classic Les Paul tone that we've all heard on countless albums, but I found it got lost in the mix live with the full band.

On Sundays when it's just me in the room it fills the space with sonic bliss! Glorious sounding. Still nothing that sounds like it or as good.

Here is mine, 2018 Studio in Vintage Sunburst with binding on the neck:

It originally came with black plastics and black speed knobs, I like it better this way, more vintage look. I switched bridge pup (57 Classic+) for Duncan SH-5 and it matches really nice with 57 Classic at the neck. Plays good, sounds good, no visible flaws at the finish or binding... I'd prefer warmer burst color though, but I'll leave it as it is for now.

2012 Gibson Studio with Schaller roller bridge, Sperzel locking tuners, Mojotone harness, and cupcake knobs. The stock 490R/498T have swapped magnets and are out-of-phase. All chrome parts replaced with black (along with added PU covers).

That's I custom paint-job, right? Was it done by you or some service? It looks great! Nice to see someone else digging the SH-5 at the bridge besides me, great and versatile pup!

@ivanvir It was a limited run 2011/2012 production model called the Studio Swirls. They came in four finishes, 200 were made in each finish... Silver Swirl Burst, Green Swirl Burst, Blue Swirl and Gold Swirl.
