I bought a 1990 Gibson Classic about 20 years ago that had been relic'd by Lay's Guitar Shop. Photo of it below. Part of the work was a new fretboard with Italian mother of pearl inlays. A few years later I bought another 1990 Classic that had been gigged with since new. It definitely has it's share of battle scars. The Classic that Lay's worked on looks more like a 60 year old guitar. The other seems to feel and play better though. No plans to part with either one.
