With what seems to be an ever increasing majority of Les Pauls being bought pre-reliced, I thought it would be fun to see your guitars that look reliced because you actually PLAY them!

I don't have a Les Paul that looks like this- but I DO have a Mexican Strat that I have actually worn through the lacquer. Dunno if it' poly or refin nitro but it's looking cute!

Have this 81 Custom since 1995. Refret, changed out hardware, pickups, pots, stripped the neck, dropped it on a concrete floor... and played it lots and lots.

It's a 92 that I aquired mint 20 years ago. Used almost exclusively since then. It's light, live and loud, and its pickups can do anything.

I have just cleaned the fretboard btw!

Hmm... All of mine still look brand new except my Studio 60's Tribute.

Disclaimer - this is not mine, but I saw it listed on a local classified site a few months ago, and fell in love instantly. I downloaded the photos, but eventually I guess it sold?

I just love the character and wear on this guitar!

Awesome! Have an 82 Standard a previous owner stipped the finish off the neck as well, its a feel that cannot be beat. So comfortable and smooth

Pickups: What are they?

It came with 490R and 498T originally.

Fralin Unbuckers. They have uneven coils, and at the same time they sound like true PAFs and split without volume drop, and even with more balls than my strat on that mode, not like humbuckers usually sound split (thin and weak)

You can see where the gold plating has worn off both pickups on my '91 LP Custom, as wellas how it has worn away completely on the tailpiece.
