This is my 1987 prehistoric/standard. I put in 500K CTS pots and Jensen paper in oil caps. The neck pickup is an early ‘70s Gibson T-Top. The bridge pickup is a new Seymour Duncan whole lotta humbucker. I had the neck shaved and refinished to match the slim neck on my 1970 routed Les Paul Deluxe. It is very lightweight, lighter than my Telecaster. Very resonant unplugged, and the alnico V pickups give an aggressive tone when pushed which can hang in the mix with a Telecaster.
I have been battering this since the earlier mention of an FRX. I had forgotten how nice it is to play. It took a bit to settle after shipping, I haven't played it as much as I should. 2016 LP CM Black FRX.
