'96 Was quite possibly my favorite year. I sold all of the ones I had several years ago, along with most of my Historics, unfortunately, to fund other purchases. Here's one of my old '96 R0s that looks a lot like yours (you can click on all of these pics to see larger versions):

And a little gathering of some of the '96s (R9s and R0s) that I had at the same time:

...and one other '96 that I had (R9):

The thing about Tangella is…she sounds almost as good as she looks. 9 6224

Joel I hope you don't mind me posting the listing from Mark' as a reference on how much they have gone up. I think I heard that Tangella old for $15k a while back, however.

The stash of Indian RW board was generally quite lite that year. I wonder why? They till sounded great.

Stunning. Full Stop.

Just curious: is everything on there factory, or have any parts been changed?
I switched out the bridge, tailpiece, and knobs (they came with ambers but most of the other '96s I've seen have top hats), but otherwise all original. Made sure to hold on to everything that came with it.

Gee whizz, No love for the ‘98s? This gal looks all tangeriny and she is pictured in Walter Carter’s article “ Keeping the Flame Alive”.

Gorgeous guitar! And absolutely, '98, along with '96, were my two favorite years for killer top guitars. In fact, '98 seemed to have some absolutely killer R8s...kinda like an unannounced 40th anniversary tribute to the '58s.
