1996 was the year of the "Tangerine Dream." If you own(ed) one, let's see it. Here's mine.

Thanks, guys! Not gonna lie, it's the complete package. Only 8.75 pounds, minimal fret wear, and somehow sounds (and plays) as good as it looks, with natural sustain for days - without being plugged in, an open cowboy chord lasts about 8 seconds on this beast. It's unreal.

I've reached out to some former and current owners of the '96 R0, so hopefully we'll have some more photos up here soon. Stay tuned!

'96 Was quite possibly my favorite year. I sold all of the ones I had several years ago, along with most of my Historics, unfortunately, to fund other purchases. Here's one of my old '96 R0s that looks a lot like yours (you can click on all of these pics to see larger versions):

And a little gathering of some of the '96s (R9s and R0s) that I had at the same time:

...and one other '96 that I had (R9):

Frank, what a collection! Do you happen to recall the serials for the family gathering photo?
Thanks!

I don't remember all of them, but the R0 shown by itself above, which is the second to the left in the group photo, was #9 (0 6009). The R9 just to the right of that R0 was named Tangela, #9 6224.

Frank, it appears 6009 was last spotted gracing the walls of Guitar Shop Taiwan. No clue if they sold it, as this photo was posted to Instagram on October 11, 2019, and I DM'd them at the time to see if it was for sale but never heard back. And I think they maintain a sizeable private collection that they don't put up for sale. But at least you can see she's still looking as scorching as ever.

That last one may be the nicest flamed top I've ever seen in my life. Can't believe you sold it!

Hey Artie, were you the original owner of #003? Your pics is terrible lol .... off a thumbnail? I might even have a copy of that exact pi somewhere but with more detail.

Here's more pics of her I had OTP' in for a while looked great I think, with the double cream in the bridge but the original Lai 57s are still in her, and she is still in Au with a friend a hi main squeeze.
