Let's compare White. Black, and Red finish of Elitist LP's, and Vintage Sunburst/Honeybourst/Cherryburst on Standards! Then we will vote waht is best, and we will know, what is the king of Elitist Customs and Standards. Add best photos of your Elitist Les Pauls!

I think Wine Red. I hope that it was looking like Gibson LP Custom Wine Red! I will add pics of my white when it will arrive.

I'm partial to the honeyburst. Wine red is awfully nice! But I don't really like gold hardware. Vintage sunburst is probably my least favorite. That finish looks great on a Strat but not as good on an LP IMO.

I don't have an Elitist, but I would have to go with the honeyburst were I to buy one. Guess you can tell I'm slightly biased by my avatar pic. =)

The same, really. The best MIJ Epis are (arguably) the Lacquer series Epis which have the same construction and a Nitro finish.

:hmm:elitist is not quite exactly the same guitar as regular line mij-epi:fingersx: but they're pretty close, elite or elitist has got usa hardware and usa pickups as a stock
and regular mij-epi has got japanese hardware (propably gotoh?) and japanese pickups as a stock ...
only newer mij epi's (limited lacquer series) has got nitro or thin lacquer tops ... yes, construction is pretty much the same ...

some say that elitist/elite's were made of better wood < i believe this is true because the woodgrain on both of my Elitist (elitist and elite) looks to be
a little different than on my lacquer series epi, i think elitist and elite's were made of african mahogany?

< comparing these two is almost the same like comparing Orville By Gibson and regular Orville line ...
ObG has got usa pickups etc. and Orville-line has got japanese pickups etc.
there is more variations in the construction between ObGs and regular Orville-line LPs than between epi elitist and regular mij epi LPs ...

anyway they're all great guitars, no complains!!

gO ePi gO oRville!!:thumb:
