Sorry if its been addressed a thousand times. I searched multiple terms and got no hits. I was curious about the newer studs i am seeing on some les paul nashville bridges. They appear to be hollow. Are these hex holes for adjusting?

I am not quite sure which you mean but the studs which hold the bridge should all be like this

Have you pics?

The 2015 Deluxe definatly doesn't have it, as you can see from mine.

I actually had quite a few 15s in my hands and never noticed it so maybe it was introduced in 16 with the HP line.

Ahahah no idea really.

Maybe you have an early batch? Dunno...

My '16 Sweetwater Limited Ed. Non-Weight Relieved Traditional Plaintop Light Burst has the hex head studs. I had to go look to verify it. Hadn't noticed it before, but I like the way it came setup, so didn't feel the need to adjust it yet.

My 2016 Traditional T has these as well. It was labeled "Premium Finish" though, not sure if that has any bearing on this.

I've been waiting for someone to bring this up, it seems to me they started doing that in 2015. It looks cheap to me, the knurled wheel makes it plenty easy to adjust without a hex hole. The hex hole reminds me of the slotted metric bridges. I wouldn't have one but I'm old and resistant to change. I'm going the opposite direction and only buying guitars with ABR-1 bridges.

By specs, all these new bridges are loading titanium saddles. Apart the hex, that is the difference with the standard Nashville.

Both of my 2016 Trad Ts came with the hex nuts in the bridge. AND... so did my 2014 Trad! All three bought brand new, first owner from major retailers, no monkey business.
