I like it, apart the finish, the top, the missing rings, the TRC, the screws through the body, the all chrome pots, the missing plastics, the slim profile...and the price.

I am not a fan of the frets no nibs and the no pickup rings is also a turn off. What are the screws for on the back of the guitar?

I don't mind the no nibs. I prefer it actually... Not that I'd ever buy that guitar, though.

The screws on the back are for adjusting the pickup height since there are no rings.

I like the binding over the frets, you just lose it if and when you have to do a re-fret.

I like it from an aesthetic perspective, but dislike it from a playability perspective.

Apparently they have a SG version HP II as well with a thicker body to cure the neck dive issue. I would own a SG if that wasn't an issue. I've tried 2x and the neck dive drove me nuts constantly having to think about which direction my guitar was going to go when I took a hand off it. Too bad the price is way off or I'd give the blue one a shot. Wonder if anybody at Gibson actually knows how many guitars they aren't selling because of the out of line pricing vs before the price spike. Love to see the numbers on all that

Almost there! They look great - I'm no fan of vintage burst color schemes - and I think Richlite board is a good idea here. Will never consider buying one because of the pickup system.

I get what they're trying to do (or, rather, who they are trying to appeal to). But they are going about it the wrong way. They could definitely build a modern style Les Paul without having all that bling and other nonsense.

Mine came today. I got a very large discount and couldn't pass it up. Beautiful guitar. The Richlite board feels great. The pups are pretty hot, but sound good for the limited time I had to play.
