If they are the same as the ones we got here in Canada then trust me, they are well worth it. The Honey Bursts can be pretty yellow but some are darker. The Tobacco Bursts are gorgeous. Some of the Honey Bursts are dark enough to look like Tobacco Bursts. There are a bunch of these owned by forum members here.
They were sold as Traditionals here in Canada but Gibson considers them Standards.
If you check any other Gibson guitar's specs on Thomann's German website, you'll find out that "Palisander" simply means rosewood in German. There's no distinction based on origin.
