Hi all,

I have found a Les Paul Signature this morning and agree a deal at £1600.

I will be checking and collecting the guitar tomorrow, I wonder if anyone has got a Les Paul Signature and can give me some guidelines on potential value, observations etc..

Its original pickups where replaced for Gibson classic 57.

Thanks

I’ll repeat my post from the other section you posted this in.

Unfortunately it’s missing the original pickups which will hurt its value. Not a biggy but the original TRC is missing.

Though it is legit I have no idea what value it may have other than what you paid which sounds reasonable.

$2500-$3000 all original in great shape....that is USD.

They are not even in the $3500 ballpark, much less $4K...you can find them for all stock at $2200 if you are patient.

I would think this is an $1800-$2k tops guitar in this condition...again, USD.

I don't like the look of the neck joint on these pics. It is to rough looking.
Seams should be just barely visible, even on guitars this old.
If i were to buy this guitar i'd check that area thoroughly to make sure that it isn't a repair. (Not because the guitar couldn't play well, but because a repair would bring down value significantly)

EDIT: Scratch the above, i just tried to find some pics of these, and it looks like several of these have those obvious/rough neck joints - so maybe there is no cause for alarm at all :)

Hi I've got one as you can see from my profile picture. I paid £2000 but ''tis also included a total regret and a total overhaul of the electrics. There is currently on in regent sound on Denmark street. It is priced @ 1800. This still has the original pickups. The pickup change will put a significant dent on the pricing. These guitars should have two jack outputs one low impedance in the traditional LP position & the generic output in the typical 335 position. £1600 will be in the right region so go for it they are great guitars
