I just went through this exact same situation, got a sig t and trad during the closeouts. After 2 days of comparing, the trad was returned to guitar center, and the sig t might be overtaking my custom as my new #1. I have stubby fat fingers, and even thought the trad looked way better, I struggled with the 50's neck.

Looks like I am going to do the same. I really love the look of the Traditional in Chicago Blue. However, I took the advice of earlier posters and went through most of my favorite rifts and just found the Sig-T easier to play. The weird part is the thicker neck of the Traditional feels more comfortable in my hands, but is just harder to play. Too bad the neck isn't their 50's Rounded profile one, which is more of a medium sized neck, I would probably have kept it then.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Sounds like you should have gone trad pro II. Its 50s neck is just that.

my bias opinion leans heavily towards the Traditional +'s over SigT's primarily I don't need auto tune prefer LP's to have rosewood or ebony FB's.

I'm not you, so I can't really make that call.

I chose the traditional over the signature T. I'm a large guy with large hands, so the choice is pretty simple for me. Plus, I like the look of rosewood over the grandillo. As far as playing the damn things, I never really noticed a difference, but I'm sure many would tell you that there is. Not sure how anyone would though, my fingers are calloused to hell so it's tough to really feel things properly, y'know?

I think the Traditional is one of the best offerings from the Gibson USA line. I have a 2013 and its a great guitar. I dont hate the nontraditional fretboards, but prefer to have a rosewood board . Especially at that price.
