Les Paul Model Numbers

Hi, could some one explain the les paul model number codes?
I played two with 50's neck, they have model codes

03AGIB-LP5+ - VS -NH
03AGIB-LP5+ - DB -NH

As far as I know, the LP5 means a 50's neck, with LP6 being 60s', the VS and DB is the colour/burst code.
NH - Nickel hardware

What about the 03AGIB bit? anyone?

this could simply be a code from the dealer system.

The "+" could mean Plus as in extra nice top? Was the flame particularly nice? DB would be DesertBurst, right? What is VS? Vintage something? The rest does seem like dealer inventory code.

I've seen that + sign before on dealer codes. The guitar usually has a "plus" top on it. The VS is vintage sunburst.
