"Les Paul" logo on historics. Gold decal or under paint?

my R8 has "Les Paul" on the headstock in gold sparkly decal type stuff. but some of the R9's I see have what looks like the "Les Paul" in yellow under the paint. Are they different by the year of reissue?

What does yours have? (and what year, and what reissue year)

Mine is a 2010 R8 Ice tea burst.

Hi, It is a silk screen'd gold paint on historics, The Trads/Standards are under the nitro.

Carefull when cleaning, it will come off....

I didn't read the whole thing....

2003 R9, gold silk screen, 2006 R8, gold silk screen, 2010 R9, 2010 R8, 2011 R9 and 2012 R8 all gold silk screen. the Trads I used to own were under the nitro I do not know if they were Decal Transfers. Probably not.

Someone may have used a cleaner that wiped thiers away and they put a decal on???

Pics Please High res, good detail, Ask yourself if the lens on your camera see up a bees butt....and use that setting! We will need details.
