Hey,

I am looking for some time after a junior, now I have seen on the seetwater page/shop a 2018.

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LPJRH18VSNH

The Gibson logo looks a bit strange and maybe here is a lot more "strange" which is not visible at first sight. I could not found any info on the Gibson page, maybe i was to blind :-/ :) .

So I would ask the junior lovers here what do you think about the new juniors ?

Link doesn't work for me. I can say on a general basis, without having seen the 2018's, that a junior needs to be a thing simplicity. P90, volume, tone, and that's it.

Neck-size according to taste.

You are right, I have also problems to reach the Sweetwater homepage in general, maybe they have server problems at the moment. I will try it later and fix the link if it is still broken..

Jr's are great value guitars. I only get them if I have a young relative who wants to learn.

The logo is a bit of a concern.

Looks nice. Logo wouldn't bother me. Wondering about the positions of the studs. Are those the same as on a vintage or historic?

The Logo is a kind of retro, I like it.

But 1,300$ for a Junior :dunno:

The bridge does look slanted like on the historic models. As anyone who spends that kind of dough for a Custom Shop model would say "it isn't a Historic, no matter how it is slanted".

Not just the logo, and its placement but the headstock looks like a norlin era.... very odd....

They have finally done it! Added a Junior to the line up or is this just a Sweetwater Special USA only?
There is no indication if its the soft or hard case included. I would hope for that price its the hard case.

I like the logo personally

What is that scroll thing on the back of the headstock?

And it has a ledge !! sweet looking guitar... and I have to disagree with the 'studio' or the 'tribute' being 'a step up',.... different, but not superior... Juniors and their dog ears have a magic thats all their own... If I wasnt lucky enough to have bagged a 2016 Junior, I would definitely have been considering a 2018 (If they sell them in the UK)

Yes juniors are not really comparable to a studios or "normal" Les Pauls, it is another guitar.

I like the big neck, the juniors from the last years have the slim taper necks, also the BJA signatures, the only option are the CS juniors..
To find the right one on the used market is hard, so I thought about these one..
