Hey All,

I just acquired a NOS 2011 Satin Ebony Les Paul Junior. I have swapped out the pots and cap with improved ones and wired in 50's style. I am thinking of swapping out the single P90 that is in it for something with a little more bite. I am trying to decide between the Wolfetone Meaner or Meanest. Anyone have any experience with each? Is the Meanest controllable? I am running it into an Orange RV50 MKII. Any help or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've heard lots of good things about Wolfetones but never tried one. From my experience though even the modern Gibson P90s still have a lot of bite and sound pretty damn good. Totally up to you, but personally if I had any more bite from my Gibson P90 then i might as well have a humbucker.

Due to the overwhelming responses received, I went ahead with the Wolfetone Meaner. Wired 50's style with CTS pots and Sprague PIO. Exactly what I was searching for.
