I measured the body thickness of my MIJ custom at 1 inch & 30/32nds & was wondering what an actual gibby custom is. My standard is 2 inches.

Where are these measurements taken from?

I took mine on the top of the body almost directly above the saddle.
Thanks for your reply with the measurements. I've also noticed there is a small variation between the top & bottom of the body. Not by much though. I was just curious if the made in Japan epiphones were similar to an actual gibson and it appears they are very close. All of the hardware mounting holes are the same also. I measured my 1959 Epiphone thickness and surprisingly, it is thinner than Gibson Studio's and Tribute's.

I usually measure the body from back to top of binding (if present), it's easier. Tributes and Studios are 1/4" thinner, and 2014 Melody Makers and Custom Lites are thinner still

My Standard is right around 2”. But my Studio is clearly thinner - about 1 13/16”. Both are 2021s.
