Hey, watch that! I had a blue one just like below.... Better than my first older body style Pinto.... Helluva lot fancier too....

Damn good Pinto....

Bought one new in 77' for $4200. Payment was $94.85 a month.

The 2.3L was an absolute dog. The thought of racing or lighting up the tires didn't exist.

On a positive note the American tire companies were on strike so it came with Michelins.

It was a reliable ride. Not one problem til I
T-boned by another driver so hard the frame was pushed up where the driver's feet are.

Mine had the automatic in the floor console... The only issue was the switch that sensed park so it would crank gave up the ghost.... My mechanic said I didn't want him to fix it as it was a 'drop it to get to it' repair.... I went to NAPA around the corner, got some hookup wire, momentary pushbutton, jumped across the solenoid, and put the pushbutton in the glove compartment... Nobody was gonna steal it.... ;)

The Pinto chassis only lasted five model years. For the next 25 years (1979-2004) the Mustang was based on the well and truly overused Fox platform ;)

That is a picture of a foxbody one of the most loved mustangs
Ya... but it's got a sticker on it that says "Cobra"
Fox-body Mustang is nowhere near the legacy of the Shelby AC, or even the GT350 Mustang

I mean in this new world how does one define performance?
Obviously, it self-identifies as “much faster than it is”. We need to respect its truth and not try to impose our electrophobic, math-based expectations on it.
Ya fuckin racist.
