Which always makes me wonder why dinosaurs didn't evolve further. Dinosaurs were around for about 165 million years... humans have only been around for about 6.5 million years.

Why no dinosaur civilizations? How, in 165 million years, did they not evolve into true intelligence? Makes you wonder....

Because evolution doesn't favour any kind of change that isn't useful. The dinosaurs were doing fine, and had no need for fire, agriculture or Disneyworld.
