Can anyone who owns a 2012 Kossoff (Ramm) 59 les paul reissue tell me how big the neck is?
The standard normally quoted depth at 1st and 12th frets would suffice.

It's alleged he liked big necks, but he had little fingers.....

Thanks in advance

I played one about a year ago and it was pretty meaty...but i am sure they are not very consistant.

And when I say meaty...i mean pretty big.

I had one at the start of the year. Had to sell it unfortunately.

Anyway, I also have a Les Paul Standard Faded. It has what's described as a 60's neck. The Kossoff was definitely considerably thicker. I've not had much experience on different guitar necks. When everyone says about 50s necks be like the underside of a boat, I've never found it that extreme, but as I said, I'm not too experienced.

The neck was comfy. As I said, definitely larger and more rounded than my Standard Faded. I can't give you dimensions unfortunately as I no longer have it. The whole thing was a beautiful guitar though. It's the only other guitar I want. I would stay away from the aged ones. The ageing is insulting. Especially for the up charge compared to the VOS.

My experience is limited, but it's the best guitar I've ever played. I can't really imagine (as far as an instrument rather than a replica) it can be better. The build quality was outstanding, the finish was beautiful. It was fairly light too, for a solid guitar.

I want another so badly.

Thanks for the replys so far.

WholelottaIzzy, you can't be far from me, I'm in Hampshire!

Thinking out loud, the (three I know about) 58/59 les pauls Paul Kossoff owned I presume were average, so we are talking 22.5mm to 23 or so at 1st fret, which can feel big/meaty to those with the smaller hands like PK himself.

Not a direct parallel, but the only original 59 neck I have felt was on a 1959 special, and it wasn't huge, just pleasantly big, so probably 22-23mm at 1st fret.

Anybody have a 2012 Kossoff LP then???

Used to live in Lymington.

Definitely get the Koss. It's a stunning guitar.
