I for one is not someone who babysits his guitars going "Oh nooooooes, a ding!"
But this one belongs in this rare case for "too pretty to play" to me
Didn't know there were corina LPs out there

Now OP, tell me, tell us, how does she sing compared to "standard" LPs with mahogany?
Different sonic characteristics?

Oh also, HNGD! :)

Hey Prom... will do my best on sound... but sound and tone is very subjective, and i am obviously biased given i am an owner.

First... not all korina is the same. I have seen Korina LPs that are chambered or super heavy. I have not played those so cant compare. Same with mahog... take 100 LPs and prob a couple that are magic, a couple duds and a lot in between. For this run, they seemed to have used some premium korina... super clean and to get pieces that large for a one piece LP body without mold streaks is not common for sure. My take is more articulate in that you can hear all the notes in a chord kind of thing where the bottom doesn't mud out but still has thump. Just feels/sounds to me a little sweeter, a little more refined... and definitely 'bloomier'.

I wonder if it isn't somewhat on par with old Honduran mahog...You can seriously hit a note and it just goes on and on... you wont hear it, but you will feel it in the guitar like waves through a living breathing piece of wood. I had a pro musician that owns very high-end guitars tell me that he had one and it was the best of the 50+ historics he has played, but again... it is subjective and someone could have just as easily said the opposite.

What i absolutely love is the feel... At 8lbs it feels pretty light given how substantial the neck is...and just fun as heck to play with the resonance thing... i find myself pulling it out of the case before anything else. I have a heavy R8 that i like to play as well because it just feels so 'solid' like a brick, so like em both for almost opposite reasons- change of pace thing i guess.

Like with most LPs... i dont think of it as either or... i think of it as I want both!. Am excited to see what this might sound like after 20 years of playing it... bet it will be an absolute killer.

Sounds wicked CG!
I guess it's a bit like maple necked LP or something of that ilk then?
(or perhaps a dose of tele in LP)

Play her in good health!
I hope you will play her regularly altho she's such a stunner!
