I have a silver with horsie, so now I learned it's an early one - earlier than the gold ones? Have to check the serial. It's been kind of an on/off affair for me. I bought it pretty early when I first heard of them and read favourable reviews and liked it then. Then again I didn't, put it away, pulled it out after some time and liked it again. Haven't used it in some time now but have been considering to put it to work again and see if I like it now. The only thing I hate about it is that it eats batteries alive and since I don't use a pedal board - an overdrive is pretty much all I use for stompboxes-I don't want to power it up using a power supply.

:)Here's a funny yet interesting story , I was playing through my Marshall the other day when out of nowhere i hear this high pitched electronic squealing noise , I put my Marshall into standby because I was afaid It was about to blow a tube or that one had gone microphonic on me , Well after great concern and a little trouble shooting I figured out that it was my KLON making the noises !!! If you read the instructions that come with the pedal is says that if the battery goes way dead you may get some wierd noises , So I changed the 9volt battery in it and the noises went away !!! Just wanted to bring this to peoples attention as some may really get freaked out about this if it should happen to them , But it's just a normal thing if your battery gets very weak ... Hope this saves someone the small heart attack I had when I thought my amp was frying !!!

That's exactly what I experienced very early on and I was aware that this "built into" the pedal. Trouble is that sometimes on stage you don't notice this yourself but the soundman will curse at you because of that strange moise coming out of your amp. :hmm:

We all go through the "never ending search for tone" as musicians. When I got the Klon my search for an OD ended. I use the Klon and have never looked back. One day I will have another just as a backup. BTW, mine is gold with the Centaur.

Never thought of taking a photo of my Klon, but I'll get one up for you Bobbo. I'll need a little time, I'm on midnights right now. I'll post it here in a few days.

Ok. I had to do it. I purchased one of these bad boys on ebay finally. After listening to the YouTube clips and reading reviews I had to get one.

I can't wait to get it.:dude:

Are the older ones any different then the newer ones? I bought a newer one.

why are these pedals so damn expensive???

Because guys like Joe Perry use it. It's a great pedal, but you need a good amp to make it shine... too $$... so I'll build one.

The only difference between the silver and the gold versions is the color and of course the Horseyman !!! :D

Cool, as long as the inards are the same, I'm happy.

I like how the maker uses the black epoxy stuff (or whatever it is) to cover the circuit board to protect his proprietary secrets:naughty:.
