This. I've owned the KTR a few different times and this one by Decibelics is a gem. Its super-small footprint is an added bonus too
I have a decibleics, and a couple of the moskey ones, its amazing how close they are, but there is a more refined sound to the decibelic, its seems to have a wider frequency response and more 'air' (i know thats a 'kin useless descriptor) as someone wisely said, once the drummer comes in does it really matter?

I sold off my analogman kot and may sell the decibelics, the scalp i took with the kot paid for a taiwanese hand made one, which might piss some people off i guess, but, if some one pays me more, i accept.

Bill Finnegan posted Wednesday on his Instagram that he will be holding a Klon livestream event Friday with an “update of interest.” Hopefully referring to KTR production. Would be nice to see them available again.

His YouTube channel is as mythical as his pedal. Nobody has a link to it! YouTube Klon LLC is some weightlifting gear channel. Some say he postponed the livestream till next week.

TL;DR Bill is running out of NOS Diodes and new KTRs will be built with different components that sound the same. Remaining NOS will be used for new Klon Centaur builds.

Try the Mosky Golden Horsie. $30 and people who aren't hopeless corksniffers rave about them.

I love my Golden Horse. That's my 2nd Mosky pedal. The Golden Horse is so nice, I sprung for their mini Keeley C4 Compressor clone and it'll be here tomorrow. Paid $25 for it, IIRC. I've got a Behringer Stereo Chorus coming tomorrow, too, but I'm really looking for the compressor.

Here's the new link to his vid at Klon LLC. It appears that he fixed the volume issue but I didn't watch the entire thing again.

Matthews Effects The Architect V1
Absolutely.....these are great .
I bought it on a whim , tried it and set it aside.
Put it on my board last week and it stacks beautifully. Very organic and natural sound.
She's staying on the board.

I built a Klone kit from BYOC. I think the kit cost around $60 with the enclosure. There is a video of the BYOC Klone AB'd against a vintage Klon and they are nearly indistinguishable from one another.

I like it quite a bit. I use it as a clean / solo boost and put it after my main drive pedal which is an Xotic BB Preamp. Based upon my Klone experience, there is no way in hell I would pay the obscene money the real ones command online. Even $500 would be too much. There are many, many options for good boost preamp pedals. Don't believe the hype.

Just try to avoid buying Chinese shit.

Impossible to avoid, Norty. Components, cases, wires, switches, etc. in 'Murican made items probably all came from chinaland...

I would much rather US and Canada support each other more and build HERE....

Brother, I know there are limits to our consumer choices. I'm surrounded by Chinese shit. But dang, where I can avoid it, or at least buy something MIC used, I'm happy to not give real fascists any more of my dough.

Exactly. Every time I see a gut shot of these mass-produced pedals, I cringe looking at the DPDT switch and the possibility of having to open it to clean it. I find those switches can be a problem, even when they're 'premium' brands, that oil lube just seems to get to the contact on some of them. Fixing one on a cheap pedal would be futile, and I find my electronic waste history to be unacceptable. Buy once, from now on.

Anyone tried the RYRA Klone? I've come close to buying it several times, but haven't quite gotten there. Opinions?
The Ryra is my favorite Klon clone, and I’ve tried many, including the KTR. It’s a very dynamic pedal, and the only one I kept. Highly recommend!
