I stopped at a gun shop to look at Glocks and there was a deep box with two kittens in it. A guy that works there rescued them from the middle of a freeway. He saw someone throw them out the window at 60 mph. This female hit the pavement and just laid there. Her brother landed in the grass. He chased the a-hole and was gonna kick his ass, but he got away. Somehow the kittens didn't get ran over and survived the window toss.
When I first walked in the female was just laying there. Very quiet. I thought maybe she was hurt. A family was checking out her brother. They were taking him home. I got out the female and was petting her. I tryed to talk the family into taking her too. But the dad said no way. I left and called my wife. She said bring her home. When I went back to the shop and looked in the box, the female started meowing her head off. It actually seemed like she recognised me.
Got a Glock 40 too.

Thats very nice of you. What some people do to animals is just evil. Take good care of her!

Too bad you can't send that picture to the dude who chucked 'em out the window.

I'm glad the kittens made it out okay, and congratulations on your new family member!

That's very great of you to rescue the poor thing. People can be such cruel assholes and it boggles my mind how anyone can mistreat a poor, defenseless creature like that. If that guy didn't want kittens, he should have had his cat spayed instead of being an irresponsible prick.

That is so sad. :( It makes me sick at what some people are capable of. I'm glad she's ok and they both got a good home.

Awesome story!!:thumb: My gal and I adopted a Lab/Greyhound mix that had ben abused for 2 years. My sister has 2 cats from her local shelter. I'm not a bit ashamed to admit that I'm a 36 year old former firefighter/auto mechanic softy and a firm believier in what Ghandi said:

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”

Bless you!!:thumb:

If I EVER see someone do that, they are getting pista......errr I mean they are getting whooped, period. They better hope they can out run me. My wife's friend that runs a kill free animal shelter has told her some horror stories. Nice 40 by the way, I'm thinking of getting one off those. Do I need one? That's like asking if three Les Pauls are enough. :thumb:
Good on you mang, have fun with your new toy.

There are members here who would think nothing of throwing a box of kittens into the freeway.

Our family has rescued over 30 kittens/cats in the past 5 years. I swear if I ever find someone doing that, I'll follow them, tie them up, and push them out of a car window at 60 miles an hour on a freeway too... Animal abuse is the one thing that makes me sick to my stomach.

No name yet. I kinda want to name her "Glock" or something like it. Since looking at Glocks was the reason I stopped there.
But I WAS on my way home from my friends house after jamming and tone testing. Was thinking "Lucille" too.
